Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Welcome on the Bird Watching Tour in India by Erco Travels. This tour includes two of the best sites in India for bird-watching. The starting point of this tour is Delhi. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by Erco's representatives, and they will assist you in proceeding to the hotel. After lunch and some relaxing moments, a guided tour of Delhi will be arranged in the afternoon. India Gate, Qutub Minar, Jantar Mantar, Lotus Temple and Akshardham Mandir are some of the main attractions of the Delhi. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02 : Delhi - Sultanpur - Delhi
Today, you will be taken to Sultanpur National Park (one-hour drive) in the neighboring Haryana State for a full-day birding tour. Sultanpur National Park is a paradise for bird-watchers. Common hoopoe, purple sunbird, gray francolin, Indian roller and white-throated kingfisher are some of the resident species that can be seen inside the park. The park also shelters many migrating birds like Siberian crane, spot-billed pelican, greater flamingo, Eurasian wigeon and black-winged stilt during winter season. After lunch, continue your birding tour. In the evening, you will be driven back to the hotel in Delhi. Dinner and overnight stay will be in the hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Bharatpur
The 3rd day is going to be a very busy day. After having breakfast in the morning, you will be taken to Agra in Uttar Pradesh by surface (4-hour drive). Arrive in Agra and proceed to Taj Mahal, the seventh wonder of the world. This impressive white marble tomb is dedicated to Mumtaz Mahal, the 3rd wife of mughal emperor Shah Jahan. After lunch, visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri that is famous for its brilliant architecture. Then, move on to Bharatpur in Rajasthan. It will take less than one-hour to reach Bharatpur from Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive in Bharatpur and proceed to a hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day in relaxing followed by dinner and overnight stay.
Day 04 : In Bharatpur
In Bharatpur lies the best site in Asia for bird-watching, Keoladeo National Park. The 4th day is reserved for a full-day birding excursion inside the park. Formerly known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Keoladeo National Park houses a huge variety of species of birds. Keoladeo is quite famous for its rich bird population among wildlife photographers and ornithologist. Gadwall, painted stork, cotton teal, white spoonbill, tufted duck and Indian shag are some of the waterfowls that can be seen near the water-bodies. The land-birds include warblers, buntings, grey hornbill, babblers, bulbuls, bee-eaters, chats, partridges, quails and many others. Return to the hotel in the evening for spending the night.
Day 05 : In Bharatpur
On Day 5, continue your birding tour and visit the inner region of the park. After lunch, you can visit other attractions of Bharatpur like Deeg Palace that is just 32 km away from Bharatpur city (closed on Fridays). Get back to the hotel in the evening for spending the night.
Day 06 : Bharatpur - Delhi
Today is the last day of this tour. So enjoy the day until lunch in leisure activities. After having lunch, you will be driven back to Delhi (3-hour drive). Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to the airport to board the next flight back to your home country. This will be the end of this tour. Thank you.
