Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive to Bangalore
Welcome to the Wildlife and Backwater Tour in south India. The tour begins with your arrival at the Bangalore airport were Erco Travels' representatives will be present and will assist you in transferring to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for relaxing.
Day 02 : Bangalore - Bannerghatta - Bangalore
In the morning of Day 2, enjoy a traditional south-Indian style breakfast at the hotel. After that, take a short drive (1-hour) to the Bannerghatta National Park. This park is rich in biodiversity and house many wild and rare animals. Arrive in the park and begin a safari tour to see elephants, white tigers, leopards and lions. After lunch, visit the Butterfly Park and the Reptile Park. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03 : Bangalore - Mysore
On Day 3, after enjoying your breakfast, take a road-trip to Mysore (3-hour drive). Arrive in Mysore and proceed to the hotel for check-in and lunch. Then, take an afternoon tour around the city to visit the Mysore Zoo and the Mysore Palace. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 04 : Mysore - Ranganathittu - Mysore
On the Day 5 of the tour, proceed to the Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary for a half-day bird-watching tour. Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary is just 20 km away from Mysore and takes only 30 minutes to reach there. This bird sanctuary has plenty of bird species like painted stork, Asian openbill stork, common spoonbill, black-headed Ibis, Indian Shag, kingfisher, egrets, cormorants, Oriental Darter, and herons. Afterwards, return to the hotel in Mysore. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 05 : Mysore - Nagarhole
The day till lunch is free for leisure activities. After lunch, take a road-trip to Nagarhole National Park that is 90 km away. Arrive in the park and check-in at the jungle lodge for lunch. Enjoy an evening nature walk near the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay will be inside the lodge.
Day 06 : In Nagarhole
On the full-day tour of Nagarhole, you can see tigers, gaurs, elephants and leopards on a wildlife safari. There are over 270 different species of birds that can be seen inside the park. Dinner will be at the lodge.
Day 07 : Nagarhole - Bandipur
After having your breakfast, checkout from the lodge and proceed to Bandipur National Park. It will take around 2-hours and 40 minutes to reach the park. Arrive in Bandipur and transfer to a jungle resort. Rest of the day is free, so spend it as you please. Overnight stay will be in the resort.
Day 08 : In Bandipur
The entire day is reserved for a wildlife tour of Bandipur. This park comes under Project Tiger and thus, protects tigers and several other species of endangered wild animals. The major tourist attractions of this park are Indian elephants, gaurs, tigers, sloth bears and dholes. Some 200 species of birds also make this park their home. Return to the jungle lodge for dinner and spending the night.
Day 09 : Bandipur - Ooty
Take morning road-trip to Ooty (1-hour 30-minutes drive) after the breakfast. Upon arrival in Ooty, move to a hotel for lunch. Afterwards, proceed for a half-day tour of Ooty to visit the Ooty Botanical Gardens in the evening.
Day 10 : Ooty
Ooty is a famous hill-station in south India and is a popular tourist destination. After the breakfast, enjoy the full day at leisure. There are many places to visit in Ooty like the Ooty Lake, Toda huts and Doddabetta Peak. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 11 : Ooty - Cochin
Enjoy a lazy breakfast in the morning. Then, checkout from the hotel and embark a long road-trip (6-hour drive) to Cochin. Kochi is famous for its calm backwaters. Board a houseboat upon arrival and spend the rest of the day on the houseboat.
Day 12 : In Cochin
Cochin or Kochi is also called the Queen of Arabian Sea. Enjoy a full-day cruise on the backwaters of Kochi to explore its scenic beauty. You can visit the St. Francis Church in the evening. Overnight stay will be on board.
Day 13 : Cochin - Periyar
After the breakfast, checkout from the houseboat and proceed to the Periyar National Park by surface. Periyar wildlife sanctuary is famous because of its tiger and elephant population. Check-in at the hotel upon arrival for lunch. In the evening, enjoy a boat cruise in Periyar Lake to the evening activities of the animals at the lakeside. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 14 : In Periyar
On Day 14, take a full-day guided safari tour of Periyar National Park to see elephants, tigers and various other wild animals. Periyar wildlife sanctuary is also a good place for bird-watching as different species of birds are found inside the park. Return to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 15 : Periyar - Kovalam
Drive to Kovalam in the morning on a 4-hour road trip. Kovalam is famous for its beautiful beaches. Arrive in Kovalam and transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 16 : In Kovalam
The entire day is at leisure, so enjoy it as you please. You can visit the local markets, old Hindu temples and big churches near Kovalam. Return to the hotel for the night.
Day 17 : Kovalam - Cape Comorin - Kovalam
After the breakfast on Day 17, proceed to the southern most tip of mainland India, Kanyakumari. It is also times referred to as Cape Comorin and is a popular tourist destination. Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari and its nearby areas. Then return to the hotel for the night.
Day 18 : Kovalam - Thiruvananthapuram - Delhi / Mumbai
On the last day of this tour, depart from the hotel and proceed to the airport in Thiruvananthapuram (20 minutes drive). Upon arrival, board a flight to Delhi or Mumbai to catch the next international flight to your home country. Thank you.
